Which data entry fields do I have permission to see when creating an RFI?
Answer
When creating a new RFI, you will have different capabilities, depending upon your level of permission that you've been granted to the Project level RFIs tool. This is because, when creating an RFI, your permission level determines the status of the RFI you can create:
- Users with 'Admin' level permission can create an RFI in either the 'Draft' or 'Open' status.
- Users with 'Standard' level permission can create an RFI in the 'Draft' status. Before it becomes an 'Open' RFI it must be reviewed by the RFI Manger or a user with 'Admin' level permission on the Project level RFIs tool. See What is a 'Draft' RFI?

1 A Number is only assigned when a new RFI is saved in the 'Open' status by a user with 'Admin' level permission on the RFIs tool.
2 A user with 'Admin' level permission on the RFIs tool must enable Custom Field 1 and/or 2 for either or both to be available in the New RFI form. See Configure Settings: RFIs. The labels for these fields will be customised to your project's specific business use for them.
