Settings: Procore Android App
Objective
To access and configure settings on an Android device.
Steps
- Tap Settings
in the Procore toolbar.
See steps for the following sections:
Networking and Storage
To set your networking and storage preferences, choose from the following options:
- Uploads Queue:
- Tap Uploads Queue to view any pending or failed uploads.
- If there are any failed uploads, tap Retry to retry the upload.
OR
Tap Clear to clear any items in the queue.
- Upload on Wi-fi Only:
- Tap the toggle OFF
to allow your device to upload photos and attachments using mobile data (if available on your device).
- Tap the toggle ON
to only allow photo and attachments to be uploaded while your device is connected to Wi-fi.
- Tap the toggle OFF
- Save Photos and Videos to Gallery:
- Tap the toggle ON
to save photos you take while using the Procore app to your device's Gallery.
- Tap the toggle OFF
if you do not want photos to save to your device.
- Tap the toggle ON
- Manage Storage:
- Tap Manage Storage to view an overview of your Procore app's current data usage.
Note: See How do I manage the storage the Procore mobile app is using on my device? - To manage your data by tool, tap Delete
next to that tool.
- To clear all cached Procore data from your device, tap Clear All Local Data.
- Tap Manage Storage to view an overview of your Procore app's current data usage.
Sync
Tap the Tap to Sync Permissions link to apply any changes you made to users' permissions in the project.
Notifications
Manage Push Notification Settings
Push Notifications are alerts appear on your Android mobile device's lock screen and notification centre.
- Under 'Notifications', tap Preferences.
- To enable one or more of the following notifications, tap the corresponding toggle to the ON
position (see image below).
- My Time Clock: Enable this option to receive reminders to clock in or out of a project when you enter or leave the project's geofence. See Clock Your Time (Android).
- Announcement Received: Enable this option to receive alerts when you have received an announcement.
- Correspondence: Tap Correspondence and then tap the toggle for each correspondence type that you want to receive alerts for. See Who receives correspondence item emails and push notifications?
- Drawing Revision Published: Enable this option to receive alerts when new drawings are published.
Note: To receive push notifications for Drawings Revisions, you must be subscribed to the Drawings register. See Subscribe to the Drawings Register - Incident Alerts: Enable this option to receive an alert when an incident of a particular severity has occurred.
Note: You must be added to an 'Alert Recipient' list in order to receive an alert. Severity levels, Alerts and Alert Recipients for Incidents are configured in the Company Admin tool. See Configure Alerts and Severity for Incidents. - Observation Assigned: Enable this option to receive alerts when you have been assigned an observation.
- Photos: Tap Photos and then tap the toggle for one or more of the following options:
- Mentions: Enable this option to receive alerts when you have been mentioned in a photo's comment.
- Uploaded: Enable this option to receive alerts when a new photo is uploaded to the project's Photo's tool.
Note: To receive push notifications for Photos Uploaded, you must be subscribed to the Photos tool. See Subscribe to Photos.
- RFI: Tap RFI and then tap the toggle for one or more of the following options:
- Ball in Court Shift: Enable this option to receive alerts when there is a shift in an RFI's Ball in Court field.
- Reassigned: Enable this option to receive alerts when an RFI has been reassigned.
Note: After you have enabled push notifications for one or more of the above features, you will receive alerts in your Android device's notification centre.
Note
To receive push notifications from Procore, you will need to enable push notifications on your Android device and the Procore app. To enable push notifications on your device, do the following:
- Tap the Settings icon on your Android device.
- Tap Notifications.
- In 'App Notifications', tap to toggle Procore to the ON position.
Support and Feedback
Tap one of the options below to access more support and provide feedback.
- Report an Issue: Tap to report an issue with Procore's app for Android.
Note: This sends an email with app information (such as the Procore app version your device is currently using) to Procore Support. In addition, if you contact support regarding a mobile issue, a support representative may ask you to report an issue. - User Guides: Tap to view tutorials and FAQs on Procore's support site.
- Call Support: If your device supports calls, tap to call Procore Support.
- Rate the App: Tap to rate the Procore app for Android in the Play Store.
About
Tap one of the options below to view more information about the app:
- Release Notes: Tap to navigate to en-au.support.procore.com to view release notes for the app.
- Privacy Policy: Tap to navigate to procore.com to view Procore's Privacy Policy.
- Terms of Service: Tap to navigate to procore.com to view Procore's Terms of Service.
- Version: View the version of Procore currently installed on your device. See Update the Procore Android App.
Dark Mode
You can choose between a Light or Dark appearance within the Procore app.
- Under 'Dark Mode', tap Preferred Appearance.
- Tap one of the following options:
- System: The Procore app will automatically apply Light or Dark mode based on the system settings currently selected on your device.
- Light: The Procore app will have a light appearance.
- Dark: The Procore app will have a dark appearance.
Logout
- Tap Logout if you want to log out of Procore's mobile app on your device.
