Respond to a Defect List Item (iOS)

Objective

To respond to a defect list item using the Procore app on an iOS mobile device.

Background

In Procore, when a defect list item's Ball in Court has shifted to you, a yellow banner appears in the item's details to notify you that your response is needed with selectable response options based on your role. However, 'Admin' level users or users with the 'Respond to Defect Items Assigned to Users within the Same Company' granular permission enabled on their permission template can also respond to the defect list.

Things to Consider

Steps

  1. Navigate to the project's Defect List tool using the Procore app on an iOS mobile device.
  2. Tap the defect list item you want to respond to.
  3. In the Assignees section, tap your name.
  4. Respond to the item by selecting a response status and adding an attachment and/or comment as needed.
    • Change the Response Status: Tap the appropriate status to to indicate whether or not work on an item needs to be completed.
      Note: Although an Assignee can mark the defect list item as 'Resolved,' only the item's Final Approver can mark the item as 'Closed.'
    • Add a Photo: Tap Camera or Attachments to take a photo or select a file from your device to include with your response.
    • Add a Comment: Tap the 'Comment' field to add any additional comment for the defect list item.
  5. Tap Save.
