Search for and Filter Specifications
Objective
To use the search bar and filter settings to find a specific specification in the project's Specifications tool.
Things to Consider
- Required User Permissions
- Search respects any selected filter parameters (including "set" and "division") and limits the scope of the search to the filtered results.
Steps
- Filter Specifications by Division or Set
- Search for a Specification
- Search text within a Specification
Filter Specifications by Division or Set
- Navigate to the project's Specifications tool.
- Select your filters:
- Division
- Set
Search for a Specification
- Navigate to the project's Specifications tool.
- In the Specifications tab, enter a keyword into the search box and press ENTER on your keyboard.
- Search returns results for data within the following fields:
- Division
- Number
- Set Name
- Title
Search Text within a Specification
- Navigate to the project's Specifications tool.
- Click Open next the specification section.
- Click the search
icon. - Enter your keyword, then press ENTER on your keyboard.
