How can I use wages in Workforce Planning?
Background
Wages allow you you calculate the cost of your workforce in Workforce Planning. There are three places where you can track wages:
- Wage Overrides. A wage for a job title on a specific project. This overrides the wage in the person's profile and the default job title configuration.
- People's Profiles. A person's specific wage.
- Job Titles. The default wages associated with a job title.
When calculating wages, the wage used is based on the above hierarchy: Wage Overrides are considered first, followed by wages in a person's profile and finally, wages that are associated with default job title settings.
After wages are set up, you can calculate the cost of people, job titles and projects by configuring 'Cost' as the 'Total Cell Units' on the Assignments Gantt and Totals Dashboard.
