In Procore, a Related Item is a link between two Procore objects. It is an option that's available in many Procore tools, such as Commitments, Documents, RFIs, Submittals and Transmittals. For example, if you are creating a submittal, you might add a Procore drawing of the installation location or a photo of the item to be installed as a related item on the submittal. If you are adding a new defect item, you might link a Potential Variation (PV) or a Commitment Variation (CV) as a related item, so the subcontractor can view the costs associated with the defect item.
When a tool is added to a Procore project, the items created for that tool become available as selections in the 'Related Items' tabs or sections on supported tools.
The Procore tools with 'Related Items' tabs or sections include:
1 The Client Contracts tool is only available to Procore users in the United States who have implemented the Procore for Speciality Contractors point-of-view dictionary. See What tool names and terms are different in Procore for head contractors, owners and speciality contractors?
2 The Funding tool is only available to Procore users in the United States who have implemented the Procore for Owners point-of-view dictionary. See What tool names and terms are different in Procore for head contractors, owners and speciality contractors?
