Create Notes About Projects in Workforce Planning
Objective
To create notes about projects in Workforce Planning.
Background
In Workforce Planning, you can leave notes about projects. By default, notes are visibile to anyone with access to project notes. However, notes can be marked private so that only the creator of the note can view it.
Things to Consider
- Required User Permissions:
- 'Read Only' level permissions or higher on the Workforce Planning tool and 'Admin' level permissions within the Workforce Planning tool. See Create Permissions Templates for Workforce Planning.
OR
'Read Only' permissions or higher on the Workforce Planning tool with the 'Edit Project Notes' granular permission within the Workforce Planning tool. See Create Permissions Templates for Workforce Planning.

- Additional Information
- By default, notes can be viewed by anyone with granular permissions to 'View Project Notes'.
- Notes that are marked 'private' can only be viewed by the note's creator.
Prerequisites
Steps
- Navigate to the Company level Workforce Planning tool.
- Click Projects and select Projects List.
- Locate the project to modify. Then click the name.
- Locate the 'Notes' section and click into the text box to Create New Note.
- Enter your note.
- Optional: Click the Attachment icon to add an attachment.
- Optional: Mark the Private Note checkbox if only you should be able to view the note.
- Click Add.
