Import Users & Vendors into your Company Level Directory Tool (Procore Imports)
Objective
To import users and vendors into your Company Directory with Procore Imports.
Background
In Procore, the Company level Directory contains the contacts who do business with your organization including subcontractors, suppliers, vendors and other entities. The Company level Directory tool also includes all the addresses, projects, tendering and insurance information critical to your organization. Adding Company level users and vendors to Procore also makes it easier to communicate with the employees who work for the company.
Things to Consider
- Required User Permission:
- 'Admin' level permissions on the Company's Directory tool.
Note: Granular Permissions are not supported in the Procore Imports application.

- Additional Information:
- This feature is only available to computers running Windows 7 or newer. See Install Procore Imports.
- Imported contacts cannot be deleted. Please carefully review your contacts before importing them into Procore.
- When importing contacts, you'll have the option to either import new "users" or new "vendors," which are defined as the following:
- User: In Procore, a "user" is an individual person who will be logging into Procore, such as your employee or an employee of another company who will be accessing your project.
- Vendor: In Procore, a "vendor" is another company or entity that members of your company interact with during a project.
- Important! If you are wanting to add both new users and new companies to associate them with, it is recommended to import users first to create the association with their company. Once you have imported your users, then click the 'Add or Update Existing Vendors' button to Download for Modification the partially completed vendor template file. Fill in the rest of the companies information and then import the file to complete the process.

Prerequisites
- Prepare and format your contacts for import. See Prepare Users & Vendors for Import to the Procore Imports App.
Steps
- In your Procore Imports App, on the "Companies & Projects" page, select the company you want to import contacts into.
- Click Continue.
- Under the 'Users' or 'Vendors' sections, choose from the following options:
- Add New Users: Select this option to import a list of users to your project.
Note: In Procore, a "user" is an individual person who will be logging into Procore, such as your employee or an employee of another company who will be accessing your project. - Add New Vendors: Select this option to import a list of vendors to your project.
Note: In Procore, a "vendor" is another company or entity that your company interacts with during a project.
- Add New Users: Select this option to import a list of users to your project.
- Choose from the following options:
- Save & Open Blank Template: Select this option to open, fill out, and save an Excel template for your contacts. See Prepare Users & Vendors for Import to the Procore Imports App.
- Skip this step: Select this option to upload a completed XLSX or CSV of your contacts to Procore.
- Choose Select Template File to upload an XLSX or CSV file of contacts from your local device.
- Click Process.
- Review your contacts.
Note: If there are any errors in the import, a list of the errors will be provided. You can then "Save Errors to continue" to download a copy of the errors to compare against your original import file. - Choose from the following options:
- Save records to computer: Select this option to save your records as an XLSX or CSV file and return to complete the import process at another time.
- Import to Procore: Select this option to proceed with the import process.
- In the "Import Records" window, click Proceed.
- Confirm your decision to import your contact list by typing your company's name in the text field and clicking Proceed.
Important! Imported contacts cannot be deleted. Carefully review your contacts before importing them into Procore. - Click Finish.
