Add Training Center as a Bookmark on Your Mobile Device
Objective
To add a Bookmark to your Mobile Device Home Screen allowing quick and easy access to Semi-Private Training Center Pages
Things to Consider
In order for this to work, the privacy settings for all pages used or linked need to be SEMI-PRIVATE
- This is a way to work around the SSO Log In required for Privatized pages on your Training Center (see Log Into a Private Training Center from a Mobile Device).
Steps
iOS Devices
- Launch Safari on your iPhone or iPad.
- Navigate to your Training Center Landing Page or any sub-pages that you are creating quick access to.
- For example, Mobile Specific Tutorials, Role-Based Training Center Pages, etc.
- Tap the Share Icon (the square with an arrow pointing out of it) at the bottom of the screen.
- Scroll down to the list of actions and tap Add to Home Screen.
- Type a name for your site link, such as Company Name Training Center. This will be the title that appears beneath the icon on your Home screen.
- Tap Add in the top-right corner of the screen.
- Your new Training Center Icon will appear in the next available space on your device's Home screen.
Android Devices
- Launch Chrome on your phone or tablet.
- Navigate to your Training Center Landing Page or any sub-pages that you are creating quick access to.
- For example: Mobile Specific Tutorials, Role-Based Training Center Pages, etc.
- Tap the Menu Icon (3 dots in upper right-hand corner)
- Tap Add to Homescreen.
- When Prompted, Type a name for your site link, such as Company Name Training Center. This will be the title that appears beneath the icon on your Home Screen & Tap Add
- Confirm the Add to Home Screen option by tapping Add again
- Your new Training Center Icon will appear in the next available space on your device's Home screen.
