Create a Link
Objective
To create a link to a location within the Training Center or an external website.
Background
Links are used to create a path for a user to follow when navigating your Training Center or for a user to refer to an external website outside of the Training Center. They are versatile with many use cases and serve as a key component to organize content.

Steps
- Navigate to the page where you want a link to exist.
- Click Edit and select Edit Live.
- Highlight the text or image you would like to turn into a link.
- Click the Link Icon in the toolbar or Right-Click with your mouse and select Create Link.
- Within the 'Create a Link' window, use one of the following functions to search for content to create a link to or paste in an external link:
- Paste a link: In the 'Link to' field, use the CTRL + V keys on your keyboard to paste in an external website URL link and include 'https://'.
- Search for a link: In the 'Search' tab, use the search bar to find content on support.procore.com or your Training Center. The best match result will appear at the top.
- Browse for a link: In the 'Browse' tab, use the + or - signs to navigate your Training Center Site Map to click a page that already exists, or navigate the support.procore.com resources under the 'Home' folder.
- Click the corresponding folder under the 'Browse' tab or click the desired search result under the 'Search' tab to ensure the desired content is listed under 'Link to'.
- Select one of the following options under the 'Link Options' area. If no option is specified, it will always be selected as 'Default'.
- Default - When the link is clicked by a user, they will stay in the same tab of their browser and be directed to the linked page.
- Open in new window - When the link is clicked by a user, a new tab will open in their browser to display the linked page.
- Open in contextual help overlay - When the link is clicked by a user, a small box will open on top of the page they are currently viewing, and that box will display the linked page's contents.
7. Click Save Link.
