Add Photos Entries to Site Diary (Android)

Objective

To add Photos entries to the Site Diary on an Android mobile device.

Things to Consider

  • Required User Permissions:
    • 'Standard' or 'Admin' on the project's Site Diary tool.
      AND
    • 'Standard' or 'Admin' on the project's Photos tool. 

Steps

Add a Photos Register directly from the Procore Camera tool

  1. Navigate to the Camera icon-camera-mobile.png tool using the Procore app on an Android mobile device.
  2. Take the photo(s).
    • Take a photo without mark up.
      1. Tap the shutter to take a photo.
    • Take a photo with mark up.
      1. Tap the mark up icon-markup.png icon to take the photo and immediately mark it up.
      2. Tap the shutter to take a photo.
      3. Mark up the photo.
      4. If you want to save both the original and marked up photo, mark the Save as New Photo option, then tap Save.
        OR
        If you want to only save your marked up photo, clear the Save as New Photo option, then tap Overwrite.
  3. Tap the thumbnail of one of the photos to open the session tray.
  4. Optional: Tap a photo to mark it up or add information, such as location. Then tap the back arrow and open the photo session tray again.
  5. Tap Select.
  6. Tap the photos you want added to the Photos Register.
  7. Tap Create Item icon-create-item-mobile.png .
  8. Tap Site Diary.
  9. Tap Photos.
  10. Tap Confirm to add the selected photos to the Photos Register in the Site Diary tool. 
    OR
    Tap Cancel.
 Tip

If required fields are empty, click Fix Errors to go to the first empty field. Click Next Field or Previous Field to view other empty required fields.

After the required fields have been entered, you will be able to create or save the form.

Add a Photos Register from the Procore Photos tool

  1. Navigate to the Photos icon-photo-circle-mobile.png tool using the Procore app on an Android mobile device.
  2. Tap on a photo or select multiple photos by tapping Select icon-check1-mobile.svg and choosing which ones. 
  3. Tap Create Item icon-create-item-mobile.png .
  4. Tap Site Diary.
  5. Tap Photos.
  6. Tap Confirm to add the selected photos to the Photos Register in the Site Diary tool. 
    OR
    Tap Cancel.
 Tip

If required fields are empty, click Fix Errors to go to the first empty field. Click Next Field or Previous Field to view other empty required fields.

After the required fields have been entered, you will be able to create or save the form.

Add a Photos Register from the Procore Site Diary tool 

  1. Navigate to the Daily Log tool on an Android mobile device.
  2. Tap the date for which you want to create a new entry. 
  3. Tap icon-plus-quick-create-mobile2.png to add a new entry.
  4. Choose one of the methods below:
    • Take new photo
      1. Tap Camera.
      2. Take the photo.
        • Take a photo without mark up.
          1. Tap the shutter to take a photo.
        • Take a photo with mark up.
          1. Tap the mark up icon-markup.png icon to take the photo and immediately mark it up.
          2. Tap the shutter to take a photo.
          3. Mark up the photo.
          4. If you want to save both the original and marked up photo, mark the Save as New Photo option, then tap Save.
            OR
            If you want to only save your marked up photo, clear the Save as New Photo option, then tap Overwrite.
      3. Tap Done.
    • Add from your device
      1. Tap Photos from Device
      2. Tap the photo(s) you want to add.
      3. Tap Done.
      4. Edit information for the photo(s) as desired.
      5. Tap Upload Photo.
    • Add from the project's Photos tool
      1. Tap Photos from Procore.
      2. Select the album containing the photos you want to add.
      3. Tap the photo(s) you want to add.
      4. Tap Done.
 Tip

If required fields are empty, click Fix Errors to go to the first empty field. Click Next Field or Previous Field to view other empty required fields.

After the required fields have been entered, you will be able to create or save the form.
