Respond to a Defect List Item (Android)

Also available on  ios-gray-icon.jpg  web-gray-icon.jpg

Objective

To respond to a defect list item using the Procore app on an Android mobile device.

Background

If a user is assigned to a defect list item, they will receive an email with a link to that defect list item. Users can then respond to that item in Procore and mark it as 'Resolved.' Although the assignee can mark the defect list item as "Resolved," it is up to the user who assigned the item to close it.

Things to Consider

  • This asset or item can be viewed or edited in offline mode if it was previously viewed and cached on your mobile device. Tasks performed in offline mode sync with Procore once a network connection is reestablished.

Steps

  1. Navigate to the project's Defect List tool using the Procore app on an Android device.
  2. Tap the defect list item to which you want to respond.
  3. Tap your name under Assignees.
  4. Respond to the item by selecting a response status and adding an attachment and/or comment as needed.
    • Change the Response Status: Tap the appropriate status to indicate whether or not work on an item needs to be completed.
Note: Although assignees can mark the defect list item as 'Resolved,' it is up to the user who assigned the item to mark the item as 'Closed.'
    • Add an Attachment: Tap 'Attachments' to select from one of the following options:
      • Files from Device: Tap to select files saved to your Android mobile device.
      • Photos from Device: Tap to select photos saved to your Android mobile device.
      • Photos from Procore: Tap to attach an existing photo uploaded to your project's Photos tool.
      • Camera: Tap to take and upload a new photo using your Android mobile device.
    • Add a Comment: Tap the 'Comment' field to add any additional comments for the defect list item.
  5. Tap Save.
