View the Change History of a Permission Template
Objective
To view the change history of a permission template in the Permissions tool.
Things to Consider
- Required User Permissions:
- 'Admin' level permissions on the Permissions tool.
Steps
- Navigate to the Permissions tool.
- Select the 'Company Permissions Templates' tab to view the change history for a Company level permission template,
OR
Select the 'Project Permissions Templates' tab to view the change history for a Project level permission template. - Locate the permission template you want to view the change history for.
- Click the Actions menu next to the desired template.
- Select Change History from the menu.
- Date. The date and time the change was made.
- Action By. The user who performed the change.
- Changed. Details what changed.
- From. The permission level or granular permission configuration prior to the change.
- To. The updated permission level or granular permission configuration as a result of the change.
Note
- Adjusting certain permissions can impact others. For example, providing a user with 'Admin' level permissions to the Company level Directory tool automatically assigns them 'Admin' level permissions to all company tools.
- You might see some rows of permissions appear in the change history with a blank value in the 'From' field. If the 'From' field is blank, a change was NOT made to that particular permission or granular permission. It is possible that a change was made to a related permission, which caused related permissions to be logged in the change history with no evidence of change.
