Below are the notable changes to the project level Equipment tool.
The ‘Current Project' column has been updated to ‘Onsite’ and you can now mark single or multiple equipment records on site. When adding equipment to a project on mobile, you can mark equipment as onsite. Additionally, you can associate rented or subcontracted equipment with vendor in your Company level Directory. See Edit Project Equipment and Check in Equipment (iOS) and Check in Equipment (Android).
Customers can define custom equipment statuses, enhancing workflow management for tasks such as maintenance, rentals, check-ins, check-outs, and equipment call-offs. Additionally, you can now edit the ‘Status' and ‘Onsite’ fields directly inline the Equipment registry. See Configure Custom Statuses for Equipment and Edit Project Equipment.
You can now create timesheets for equipment without linking the equipment to a person. This is currently available on web and will be available soon on iOS and Android. See Create a Timesheet.
Procore's new Equipment tool ensures all machines are optimally used and effectively managed from arrival to departure. The Equipment tool enables you to build a registry of your company's owned or rented equipment for your worksites. When equipment is checked in or assigned to projects, it’s added to the Project's Equipment tool for use in Inspections, Daywork Sheets, Timesheets, and the Budget. See Project Equipment to learn more.
You can create new equipment records in the project's equipment tool. Equipment records created in the project's tool are automatically added to the company's Equipment tool. See Create an Equipment Record in the Project Equipment Tool.
You can check in equipment for a project using the mobile app. After checking in, the equipment's record is added to the project's Equipment tool and the 'current project' field in the company's Equipment tool is updated to reflect the project where it was checked in. See Check In Project Equipment (iOS) and Check In Project Equipment (Android).
