Insert a Video

Objective

To insert a video on your Training Center page. 

Things to Consider

  • Videos can not be stored on the Training Center and must be embedded from a third party video platform. 
  • You can manually adjust the size of a video once it's been placed on a page.
  • The privacy settings of a YouTube embedded video must be set to either 'public' or 'unlisted'. If you don't want your video to appear in search results on YouTube, use the 'unlisted' option. (See image below)

Steps

Insert a Video from Procore

  1. Navigate to the Training Center page where you want to insert the video. 
  2. Click Edit and select Edit Live.
  3. Click into the area where the video needs to be placed.
  4. Click the Elements menu.
  5. Click Content Reuse to add a new content reuse block.
  6. To find a Procore video to reuse, first expand the Home folder at the top of the browsing tree.clipboard_e4bca899b4b274c881892c4650996a692.png
  7. Click to expand the Media Library folder.

  8. Click to expand the Videos folder.

  9. Click on a Tool, and then pick a video from the Reuse Section dropdown box.clipboard_e6431763f46b882ea00864078d6332123.png
  10. Click Insert.
  11. Click Save. 

 

Insert a Video from YouTube

  1. Navigate to the Training Center page where you want to insert the video. 
  2. Click Edit and select Edit Live.
  3. Click into the area where the video needs to be placed.
  4. Click the Elements menu.
  5. Click Video.

  6. Search for the video title or paste the YouTube video URL into the Video URL field.clipboard_e9dcfe17c3acfead757eb30f8baca2bce.png

  7. Select the video you want to embed and click Insert Video.
    If a 'No video is found' error occurs, ensure that your YouTube video is set to 'Public' or 'Unlisted'. For more information, see Change Video Privacy Settings - Youtube Help.

  8. To adjust the size of the video, click the video and then click and hold a corner to adjust to the size you want.
    Note: The video's aspect ratio will be maintained.

Embed Your Own Custom Video from a Platform like Wistia or Vimeo

  1. Copy the Embed Code from your Custom Video
  2. Place your cursor where you want to insert the video in the article.
  3. Click Elements.
  4. Click Video.

  5. Click the Embed tab and paste the code saved to your clipboard.

  6. Click Insert Video.
