Add Daily Construction Report Entries (Android)

Objective

To add Daily Construction Report entries to the Daily Log using the Procore app on an Android mobile device.  

Things to Consider

  • Required User Permissions:
  • Additional Information:
    • Entries made by collaborators are marked as 'pending' until approved by an administrator.
    • There are additional workforce labor categories that can be added to the Daily Construction Report in the Daily Log: (e.g. Women, Veteran, Minority, First-Year Apprentice, Local (City), and Local (County)). In order to track hours for these additional workforce labor types, these fields must first be configured in the Daily Log section of the Company Admin tool, and then applied to one or more projects. See How do I enable additional workforce labor types for the Daily Log?
      Note: After configured and applied, a 'Workforce Hours' column will be available with a link to 'Add Hours' link will appear in the Daily Construction Report section.
    • You can configure what items are created with the quick create icon-plus-quick-create-mobile2.png icon, see Configure Quick Create Settings.

Steps

  1. Open the Procore app on an Android mobile device and select a project.
    Note: This loads the Tools screen for the project.
  2. Tap the date you want to create a new entry for.
  3. Tap the quick create icon-plus-quick-create-mobile2.png icon and select Daily Construction Report.
    OR
    Tap the Daily Log tool. Tap the create icon-plus-quick-create-mobile2.png icon, then tap Daily Construction Report.
  4. Tap into the following fields to enter the relevant information:
    • Vendor: Tap the Vendor field. Select the vendor from the Directory. 

    • Trade: Tap the Trade field. Select the trade associated with the construction report from the menu. You can only select from the trades already added to the project. See Add or Delete Trades.

    • # of Apprentice Workers and Apprentice Hours: Tap the # of Apprentice or Apprentice Hours field. Use your keyboard to enter the number of workers / hours.

    • # Other Workers and Other Hours: Tap the # Other Workers or Other Hours field. Use your keyboard to enter the number of workers / hours.

    • Comments: Enter any comments that may be needed to further describe the entry.

    • Attachments: Tap on the following options to add photo, video or file attachments to the entry:

      • Camera: Use your mobile device's camera to take a photo or video that is automatically added to the entry once you exit the camera. Or, before exiting, tap the photo to mark it up.  Optional photo and video functionality in the Procore camera tool include the following: 
        • Tap the time stamp icon to to turn time stamp on or off.
        • Tap the geotag button to turn geotagging off or on.
          Note: The geotag button will only appear if you have Location Services off or if you have not accepted location tracking permissions on your device.Geotag information cannot be viewed in Procore, but it can be referenced in the file's properties after downloading the photo to a computer.
        • Tap the video icon to switch to video to record a video for up to 15 seconds.
          • Tap the microphone icon to turn your device's microphone on or off while in video mode.
        • After taking a photo, tap the photo twice to enter markup mode.
      • Photos: Tap to select photos from your device's Gallery OR from Procore's Photos tool in the project.
        • Photos from Procore
          1. Tap the album that contains the photo(s) you want to include on the entry.
            OR
            Tap Create New Album to add a new photo album to the project.
            Note: You will need 'Standard' or 'Admin' permissions to the Site Diary tool to create an album.
          2. Tap the photo(s) you want to attach.
          3. Tap Done.
        • Photos from Device:
          1. Tap the photo(s) you want to add to the entry.
          2. Tap Done.
      • Files: Tap on a file from your mobile device to automatically attach it to the entry.  
  5. Tap Save.
