Delete Root Cause Analysis Fields
Objective
To delete root cause analysis fields in the Company level Admin tool.
Background
In the Company level Admin tool, you can delete custom values for the 'Hazard', 'Contributing Condition' and 'Contributing Behaviour' fields. Team members can then view and select these customisable fields when creating an Observation or Incident. This feature allows users to configure values that are consistent with their internal policies and procedures or be compliant with applicable regulatory requirements.
Things to Consider
- Required User Permission:
- 'Admin' level permission on the company's Admin tool.
- Additional Information:
- Important! You can only delete custom values that have been added to the project. Default values cannot be deleted.
- If a custom value is currently in use on at least one (1) observation or incident, a GRAY 'x' appears to indicate that it cannot be deleted.
Steps
- Navigate to the Company level Admin tool.
- Under 'Company Settings', click Root Cause Analysis.
- Click the RED x icon next to the desired custom value.
Notes:- If a custom value is currently in use on at least one (1) observation or incident, a GRAY 'x' appears to indicate that it cannot be deleted.
- If you clear the checkmark next to a value, the system makes that value 'Inactive'. See Edit Root Cause Analysis Fields.
