Add Favourites to the Company Tools Menu

Objective

To add your favourite tools to the Company Tools menu in Procore's navigation bar.

Background

The Procore navigation bar includes a Favourites list that is similar to the Bookmarks feature in a web browser. It stores a link to your favourite Procore tool's landing page(s). You can add up to ten (10) tools to your Favourites list

The Favourites you define are specific to your Procore user account (i.e., a Procore Administrator cannot create a Favourites list for other Procore users). In addition:

  • If your user account has been granted access to multiple Procore projects in a single company's account, you can create one (1) Favourites list for your Company tools and one (1) Favourites list for your Project tools.
  • If you have access to more than one company account in Procore, you can define one (1) Company Favourites list and one (1) Project Favourites list for each company account.

Things to Consider

  • Required User Permission:
    • To add a Company level tool to your list of Favourites, you must have 'Read Only' or higher to the company's Portfolio tool.
      AND
    • 'Read-Only' or higher on the company level tool that you want to add.
  • Additional Information:

Steps

  1. Log in to Procore.
A navigation bar appears across the top of the page.
  2. In the Company Tools menu, click the down arrow.
This opens the Company Tools list.
  3. Hover your mouse cursor to the left of the desired tool name until a GRAY star icon appears.
For example, hover your mouse next to the company's Directory tool.
  4. Click the star so it turns YELLOW.
As shown below, the system adds the tool to your Favorites list. add-company-level-favorites.png
You can now click the new link in your Favourites list to navigate to that tool. See Navigate to a Favourite Tool
Tip! If you want to remove a favourite tool, simply click the YELLOW star in the toolbox list. A GREY star indicates a tool is NOT marked as a favourite.
