Sign a Completed Action Plan

Objective

To sign a completed action plan in the project's Action Plans tool.

Background

If you have been designated as a Completed Action Plan Receiver on an action plan, your signature is requested to confirm the action plan is ready to be closed. After you sign, you can Update the Status of an Action Plan to a resolution status.

Things to Consider

  • Required User Permissions:
    • To be added as a Completed Action Plan Receiver:
      • 'Read Only' level permissions on the project's Action Plans tool with the 'Sign as Completed Action Plan Receiver' granular permission enabled on your permissions template.
        OR
      • 'Standard' level permissions or higher on the project's Action Plans tool.
    • To record the signature for another user designated as a Completed Action Plan Receiver in your company:
      • 'Read Only' or 'Standard' level permissions on the project's Action Plans tool with the 'Sign as Completed Action Plan Receiver for Users within the Same Company' granular permission enabled on your permissions template.
        OR
      • 'Admin' level permissions on the project's Action Plans tool.
  • Limitations:
    • The action plan cannot be signed by a Completed Action Plan Receiver while the action plan is in 'Edit' mode.
  • Additional Information:
    • If you have been designated as an Action Plan Approver, see Approve an Action Plan to be Performed.
      To delete a signature from an Action Plan:
      •  'Standard' level permissions or higher on the project's Action Plans tool with the Delete Action Plan granular permission enabled on your permission template.

Steps

Add Your Own Signature as a Completed Action Plan Receiver

  1. Navigate to the project's Action Plans tool.
  2. Click View next to the action plan that your signature is requested for.
  3. In the 'Completed Action Plan Receivers' field, click the link with your name.
  4. In the 'Sign Below' window, add your signature and click Sign.
     Important
    By clicking "Sign" you are signing this form electronically and agree that your electronic signature is the equivalent of your manual signature.
    A banner displays to confirm the signature is recorded. After your signature is saved, you can Update the Status of an Action Plan.

Record a Signature for a Completed Action Plan Receiver in Your Company

  1. Navigate to the project's Action Plans tool.
  2. Click View next to the action plan that the signature is requested for.
  3. In the 'Completed Action Plan Receivers' field, click the link with the name of the person whose signature you are recording.
  4. In the 'Sign Below' window, have the person add their signature and click Sign.
     Important
    By clicking "Sign" you are signing this form electronically and agree that your electronic signature is the equivalent of your manual signature.
    A banner displays to confirm the signature is recorded. After your signature is saved, you can Update the Status of an Action Plan.
