Reassign a Coordination Issue

Objective

To reassign a coordination issue to another user in the project.

Background

Reassigning a co-ordination issue transfers ownership and responsibility for its resolution to another person on the project. For example, you may need to reassign an issue if it was initially given to the wrong person, if a team member's role has changed, or if a different specialist's expertise is required to solve the problem. This ensures the right person is notified and held accountable for taking the necessary steps.

Things to Consider

  • Required User Permissions:
    • To reassign or be assigned to a co-ordination issue, 'Standard' or 'Admin' level permission on the project's Co-ordination Issues tool.
  • Additional Information:
    • You must be the current Assignee to reassign an issue. 'Admin' users can reassign any issue by editing it directly.
    • You cannot reassign issues in these statuses: Elevated or Ready for Review
    • All reassignments are automatically logged in the issue's Activity tab.
    • Changes sync automatically from the Procore web application to the Procore BIM plugin. To see plugin edits on the web, you may need to refresh your browser.
