Create a Project Specific Permissions Template from the Project Directory
Objective
To create a project specific permissions template in the Project level Directory.
Things to Consider
- Required User Permissions:
- 'Admin' level permissions on the Project level Directory.
- Additional Information:
- Granular permissions can only be configured on permissions templates in the company's Permissions tool. See Grant Granular Permissions in a Project Permissions Template.
- After they are created, project specific permissions templates can only be edited by users with 'Admin' level permissions on the company's Permissions tool. See Edit a Project Permissions Template.
- To create global permissions templates in the company's Permissions tool, see Create a Project Permissions Template.
Steps
- Navigate to the Project level Directory tool.
- Click Edit next to the user who you want to create a new permissions template for.
- Scroll to 'Project Permissions Templates'.
- Select Do Not Apply A Permission Template from the 'Project Permissions Templates' drop-down menu.
- Select the buttons for the permission levels you want to assign to the permissions template for each tool in the permissions table.
Note: Granular permissions can only be configured on permissions templates in the company's Permissions tool. See Grant Granular Permissions in a Project Permissions Template. - Under the 'Create New Template From These Permissions' section in the 'Project Permissions Templates' drop-down menu, select New Project Specific Permissions Template.
- Enter a name for the permissions template in the window that appears and click OK.
