Create a Project Specific Permissions Template from the Project Directory

Objective

To create a project specific permissions template in the Project level Directory.

Things to Consider

Steps

  1. Navigate to the Project level Directory tool.
  2. Click Edit next to the user who you want to create a new permissions template for.
  3. Scroll to 'Project Permissions Templates'.
  4. Select Do Not Apply A Permission Template from the 'Project Permissions Templates' drop-down menu.
  5. Select the buttons for the permission levels you want to assign to the permissions template for each tool in the permissions table.
Note: Granular permissions can only be configured on permissions templates in the company's Permissions tool. See Grant Granular Permissions in a Project Permissions Template.
  6. Under the 'Create New Template From These Permissions' section in the 'Project Permissions Templates' drop-down menu, select New Project Specific Permissions Template.
  7. Enter a name for the permissions template in the window that appears and click OK.
 Important
The new permissions template is NOT automatically assigned to the user whose profile you are editing. To assign the new permissions template to this user, refresh the page and select the new template from the 'Project Specific Templates' section in the 'Project Permissions Templates' drop-down menu OR see Assign a Project Permissions Template to a User in the Project Directory.
