Email Defect Items to Any User
Objective
To email defect list items to any user to provide visibility.
Things to Consider
- Required User Permissions:
- 'Admin' permissions on the project's Defect List tool.
Note: 'Read Only' level users cannot be assigned to a defect list list item. - 'Standard' permissions on the project's Defect List tool for users who are listed as Default Defect Item Managers in the Defect List configuration settings, see Configure Advance Settings: Defect List.
- 'Admin' permissions on the project's Defect List tool.
- Additional Information:
- The defect list item must have already been created and saved before it can be sent.
Steps
- Navigate to your project's Defect List tool.
- Click View next to the item you want to email.
- Click the Email tab under the defect list item's title.
- Click New Email.
- Enter the relevant information into the email template.
- Click Send.
Note: The individual included in the 'To' field will receive an email alerting them of the item and its details.
