Create Timesheets Using Grid Based Entry

To create a timesheet using the Procore app on an iOS tablet.
Background
Things to Consider
- Required User Permissions
- 'Standard' level permissions or higher for the project Timesheets tool.
AND - 'Read Only' level permissions or higher for the Site teams tool.
- 'Standard' level permissions or higher for the project Timesheets tool.
- Users under the 'Assigned to Project' sub header have corresponding assignments in the Resource Planning tool. Their start and stop times are automatically filled in based on their assignment in Resource Planning.
- Note: Users must be added to the project in Procore for their Resource Planning assignment hours to automatically populate in Timesheets. See Add an Existing User to Projects in Your Company's Procore Account
- To be added to a Timesheet, users must have the following settings:
- The person must be added to a Directory and a checkmark must appear in the 'Is Employee of <Your Company>' box on their profile. For more information on how to check for this setting in a user's profile, see Edit a User Account in the Project Directory.
- Employees who are only entered in the Company Directory can be selected if the 'Can Company Employees be Tracked on all Projects?' setting is enabled. See Configure Advanced Settings: Company Level Timesheets.
- With the setting "Employees Can Be Tracked On All Projects" enabled, you must have at least 'Read Only' permissions on the Company Directory tool to see all employees and workers.
Steps
- Open the Procore app on an iOS mobile device and select a project.
Note: This loads the Tools screen for the project. - Tap the quick create
icon and select Timesheet.
OR
Tap the Timesheets tool and tap the create
icon. - Tap Site teams, Employees, or Equipment.
- Tap the site teams, employees, or equipment that you want to create a timesheet for. Then tap Done.
- Tap the task codes to apply to the timesheets. Then tap Done.
Note: Later in the workflow, you will allocate time for the relevant task codes for each person. - Optional: Tap the date field and select the date that you want to create timesheets for. Then tap Done.
- Follow steps to enter timesheet information:
- Enter Time for One or More Users
- Tap any task code field for a user or equipment and enter the timesheet information.
- Tap Apply.
Note: You can cancel the entry by deselecting the field.
- Enter Time for All Users
- Tap the checkboxes for the site team, employees, or equipment you want to enter time for.
- Tap the horizontal ellipsis
for the task code. - Enter the information to be applied to all selected timesheets.
Note: If you wish not to apply the information to one of the selected timesheets, tap the highlighted field to deselect the timesheet. - Tap Apply.
Note: You can cancel the entry by deselecting all fields.
- Enter Time for One or More Users
- Review the summary for the timesheet's hours and the daily and weekly hours across all projects.
- Tap Submit.
