Export a Variation
Objective
To export a variation to the Portable Document File (PDF) format.
Background
If you would like to export a variation on your project to share with others or to use as an attachment, you can use the export feature in the Variations tool to create a PDF file.
Things to Consider
- Required User Permissions:
- 'Read Only' level permissions and higher on the project's Variations tool.

Steps
Export a PDF of a Variation
- Navigate to the project's Variations tool.
- Click one (1) of these tabs:
- Commitments. This tab lists any Commitment Variations (CVs) on the project.
- Head Contracts. This tab lists any Head Contract Variations (HCVs) on the project.
- Locate the variation to export in the selected tab. Then click View to open that variation. The illustration below shows you the location of the View button. It is available on both tabs.
- In the variation, click the Export button and choose PDF from the drop-down list.
Export a Variation PDF from the List
- Navigate to the project's Variations tool.
- Click one (1) of these tabs:
- Commitments. This tab lists any Commitment Variations on the project.
- Head Contracts. This tab lists any Head Contract Variations on the project.
- Locate the variation to export in the selected tab. Then click the PDF icon on the variation line item.
