Objective

To create a defect item template category at the Project level.

Things to Consider

• Required User Permissions:
  • 'Admin' level permissions on the project's Defect List tool.
• Additional Information:
  • Categories are used for organizational purposes when managing and creating Defect List Templates. Categories will not affect how your Defect List tool is organized.
  • Any templates or categories created at the project level will not have a key icon next to them.

Steps

1. Navigate to the project's Defect List tool.
2. Click Configure Settings .
3. Click Defect List Templates in the right pane. 
   This reveals a list of defect list templates, organized by category. 
4. Click +Create Category.
   This opens the Create New Defect Item Template Category window.
5. Enter a new category Name.
6. Click Create to add the new category.
