Add Defect List Items to a Drawing (Android)

Objective

To add a defect list item to a drawing using the Procore app on an Android mobile device.

Things to Consider

• Required User Permissions:
  • To add defect list items to a drawing: 
    • 'Read Only' permission or higher on the project's Drawings tool.
      AND
    • 'Standard' or 'Admin' on the project's Defect List tool.
      Note: While 'Standard' level users can create defect list items, they cannot assign a defect item unless they have been granted special permission to act as the Defect Item Manager. 

• This asset or item can be viewed or edited in offline mode provided that it was previously viewed and cached on your mobile device.

   

Steps

1. Navigate to the project's Drawings tool using the Procore app on an Android mobile device.
2. Locate the drawing that you want to add a defect list item to.
3. Tap the drawing.
4. Tap the defect pin markup tool in the markup toolbar.
   
   
    
5. Tap the area of the drawing that you want the defect list item to reference.
6. After the pin has been added, you will be prompted to either add an existing defect list item or you can add a new defect list item.
   • To create a new defect list item to add to the drawing:
     1. Select the template you want to use or tap 'Create Defect Without a Template'. See Create a Defect List Item (Android).
     2. Fill out the fields as necessary.
     3. Tap Save.
   • To link to an existing defect list item:
     1. Tap Link Existing.
     2. Tap the defect list item that you want to link to the drawing.
7. After the defect list item has been synced to the drawing, the tag will display the number of the item (e.g. "500").
   Note: A blue defect pin denotes an open defect list item, while a grey defect pin denotes a closed defect list item.
