Below are notable changes for the Procore web application for the month of September 2025.
Company Admins have a new, centralised page for managing project templates, separate from the main projects list. This reduces clutter and the risk of accidental edits, along with the following functionality:
Procore has expanded the Procore Explore feature to support a broader range of pre-release programs, including External Pilots and Closed Betas, enhancing the ability for Company Admin Users to participate in these programs.
Procore has removed the project creation limit in the Admin tool. This change allows users to create an unlimited number of projects and work more seamlessly. Procore has successfully launched a new Tool Settings page, replacing the "Active Tools" page within the Project Admin tool. Procore has successfully integrated a new engagement platform to power the legacy experience of the Portfolio tool. This update includes a data integration for the 'My Open Items' lists on the Portfolio tool home page, ensuring consistency across the Procore product. The 'My Open Items' feature also ensures accurate and performant data, including project-level and company-wide items and new support for Budget Changes and Document Management.
Procore's AI tool Assist can now answer quantitative questions and build reports from your Preconstruction data (Estimating and Tendering 1.0). Procore Assist users with 'Standard' level permissions or higher in 360 Reporting can access data from tools where they have the required permissions.
Procore expanded data coverage in the Directory & Portfolio dataset to include objects for Project Granular Permissions, Company Granular Permissions, and Project Tool Configuration. Procore expanded data coverage in Estimating to support improved reporting capabilities within 360 Reporting. The Estimating feature now includes new models such as AProject Note, Project Task, and Project Document, enabling users to create more comprehensive and insightful reports. The Tender Levelling Notes feature allows you to add specific notes for each tenderer directly within the tender levelling phase of the project. This functionality helps you document and track communication, considerations, and other important information related to each tenderer's submission. The Tender Levelling Notes apply to the entire tender rather than a specific line item. See Add Tender Levelling Notes to a Tenderer.
The ability to level tenders is now available to all customers that are using the Enhanced Tender Management Experience. Tender levelling allows Admin users to modify tenders, and others to view the tenders side-by-side. See Level Tenders for a Tender Form.
The Co-ordination Issues Settings page has been redesigned to align with Procore's modernised user experience for a more intuitive feel. The CSV report export has also been updated to include new data fields, ensuring more comprehensive and accurate reporting. Together, these enhancements create a more seamless and powerful workflow for managing your project's co-ordination issues. Procore has improved the file upload functionality by preventing the upload of empty files across the web, addressing user concerns about data loss. The BIM Co-ordination Issues feature now restricts 0-byte uploads, ensuring data integrity and a consistent user experience. To learn more, see Create a Co-ordination Issue.
Procore has improved the "Today" button in the Site Diary to enhance clarity and usability, allowing users to easily recognise its purpose and quickly navigate back to the current date.
Procore has updated the Drawings tool by replacing the old data table with a new one, aligning with new design patterns for a modernised User Interface. The Drawings tool now offers a more consistent and intuitive experience, offering a more modern look and feel without any loss of functionality.
Procore has streamlined the process of creating Observations from Incidents by aligning the category/type dropdown in the Incidents tool with the Observations tool. This enhancement ensures a consistent and seamless experience for users, allowing them to easily search for and select the desired Observation category.
Procore has introduced the AI-powered Draft RFI Agent, designed to assist users in drafting RFIs efficiently by generating the subject, question, cost and program impact fields based on simple text input. The Draft RFI Agent reduces manual effort, improves clarity, and prevents unnecessary RFIs.
Procore has added the ability to issue revisions to RFIs within the RFI tool. This functionality provides a clear, straightforward process for updating RFIs that have already been closed. To learn more, see Revise an RFI.
Procore has unified the specification listing on both iOS and Android platforms, ensuring consistency whether the Specifications by Area feature is enabled or disabled. The Specification Picker, used by multiple tools such as Observations, RFIs, and Inspections, has also been standardised to deliver a consistent user experience.
Procore has modernised the Specifications tool by updating the old Settings page and Specifications by Area page with updated design patterns, offering a more modern look and feel without any loss of functionality.
The Submittals configuration settings area has a more intuitive layout and design. There are no major changes to functionality.
Procore introduces the new Direct Cost Tool to enhance financial management capabilities for General Contractors, streamlining the process of managing and tracking direct costs. The new Company Direct Costs tool provides a more efficient and accurate way to track expenses, improving financial transparency and control across projects. You can now manage people's Resource Planning information from the Company Directory, including adding them to the Resource Planning tool. This allows you to see all people information in one centralised place, reducing confusion and decreasing double data entry. See Edit People Information for Resource Planning.
