 Below are the notable changes to the Project level Directory tool in 2018.

New Bulk > Invite Menu Option (13/12/2018) 

A new Bulk Actions > Invite menu option has been added to the Company and Project Directory tools. When you have a batch of users to add in one session, this new menu commands saves administrators from having to individual click the Invite (or Reinvite) button on each row in the Users tab. See Directory: New Bulk Actions > Invite Menu Option.

New Bulk Actions Menu Options in the Directory Tool (4/12/2018)

Procore has updated the Company and Project level Directory tools to add two new menu options to the Bulk Actions menu:

Added Bulk Actions Menu to Directory Tools (31/10/2018) 

Updated the Company Directory to add a Bulk Actions > Inactivate option. Updated the Project Directory to add a Bulk Actions > Remove from Project option. This replaces the Inactivate and Remove from Project buttons from previous versions of the Directory tool. See Directory: New Bulk Actions Drop Down Menu.

Increased Number of Search Results for Companies to 50 (5/9/2018)

Updated the Company and Project level Directory tools to increase the number of companies returned in Search results from 20 to 50. This matches the search functionality of the Bulk Add feature.

Added Doing Business As (DBA) Info to the Companies Tab

Updated the Company and Project level Directory tools to add the Doing Business As (DBA) information to the Companies tab. To add DBA information to a company record, see Add a Company to the Company Directory or Add a Company to the Project Directory.

Added Alert to Prevent Users from Adding Duplicate Contacts (29/8/2018)

Updated the Company and Project level Directory tool so it now displays an alert message to warn the user that a duplicate contact record might exist. This helps to prevent project users who have been granted permission to create new contract in Procore from inadvertently creating duplicates.

Added Alert to Notify Users of Vendor Creation from Edit Contact Page (21/8/2018) 

Updated the Project level Directory tool to add a new alert message that notifies the user that new vendor will be created when an end user attempts to add a vendor using the controls in the Edit Contact page.

Verify Australian Business Numbers (ABNs) in the Directory Tool (5/29/2018)   

Updated the Company and Project level Directory tools to add a new verification feature for Australian Business Numbers (ABNs). See Directory: Verify Australian Business Numbers (ABNs) in the Directory Tool.

Removed the Trade Column from the User Import Template (29/5/2018)

Updated the Company and Project level Directory tool to remove the 'Trade' column from the User Import Template. See Update the User Import Template.

Search for Vendors by External ID or ERP Vendor ID (25/5/2018)

Updated the Company and Project level Directory tools so end users can now search for a vendor by is origin code (e.g., External ID, ERP Vendor ID). See Search and Filter the Company Directory and Search and Filter the Project Directory.

Added a 'Trades' Filter to the Add Filter Drop-Down List (22/5/2018)

Added a 'Trades' filter to the 'Add Filter' drop-down list at the top of the Users view in both Project level and Company level Directory tools. See Search and Filter the Company Directory and Search and Filter the Project Directory.

Removed the Password Field from the User Import Template (15/5/2018)

User password imports are no longer permitted when setting up a project. The Password field has been removed from the user import template. For instructions about completing the updated user import template, see Update the User Import Template.

New Doing Business As (DBA) Field in the Directory Tool (11/5/2018) 

Procore has added a new DBA field to the Company and Project level Directory tools. This gives you the ability to record the Doing Business As name to your company/vendor records. See Add a Company to the Company Directory and Add a Company to the Project Directory.

Added Tooltip to Progress Claim Contacts Field on the General Tab in the Edit Company Page (9/4/2018)

Updated the Company level Directory tool to add a tool tip in the Edit Company page for the Progress Claim Contacts field on the General tab. The tooltip reads "This person will be added to the contract and will be the point of contact and signer for subcontractor progress claims".

Updated The Default Setting For The Users Tab To Group Users By Company (29/3/2018)

Updated the Company and Project level Directory tools so that now, the 'Group By' menu setting for 'Company' is the default setting for the Users tab. See Switch Between Views in the Company Directory and Switch Between Views in the Project Directory.

Added Edit Button to Inactive Companies Tab (29/3/2018)

Updated the Company and Project level Directory tools (Default View) to add an Edit button to the Inactive Companies page. Users can now edit records from the Companies or Inactive Companies page. See Edit a Company in the Company Directory and Edit a Company in the Project Directory.

Added ERP Badge And Banner To 'Group By Company' View (29/3/2018)

Updated the 'Group by Company' view in the Directory to include the ERP badge and banner for qualifying users.

Added An Inactive Vendors 'Edit' Button In The Directory Legacy Views (29/3/2018)

Added an Edit button to inactive vendors in the Legacy Directory views.

Improved Vendor Import Template Now Available (28/3/2018) 

Updated the Company and Project level Directory tools to provide a new Vendor Import Template (import_template_vendors_XXXXXX.xlsx). With the new template, the 'Required' columns have been moved to the beginning, making it easier to complete the required data entry. Added Tracking For Insurance To Change History (26/3/2018) 

Updated the Company and Project level Directory tool to add change history tracking to the Insurance tab for a vendor profile. End users can now see insurance changes in the vendor's Change History tab. See Add Insurance for a Vendor in the Company Directory and Add Insurance for a Vendor in the Project Directory.

Improved User Import Template Now Available (26/3/2018) 

Updated the Company and Project level Directory tools to revise the User Import Template (import_template_users_XXXXXX.xlsx). Prior to this release 'Required' columns (see RED column headings) were spread out across the Add Data Here worksheet on the template. With the new template, the 'Required' columns have been moved to the beginning, making it easier to complete the required data entry. New Directory Tool Experience (22/3/2018)

Procore has updated the Company and Project level Directory tools so that the new Directory experience (which was released and available to all users in 2017 as part of a Beta program), is now Procore's default view. This new user experience was designed to provide Procore users with access to some of the most requested features and performance enhancements. The new Directory layout delivers fast and efficient access to an expanded set of features and benefits. It also includes a new layout that provide users with enhanced capabilities for searching, filtering, sorting and grouping directory data. Add Filters List Now Includes Company And Project Cost Codes Lists (22/3/2018)

Updated the Company and Project level Directory tool so that now, the Add Filter drop-down list in the Companies tab reflects the company or project cost code lists (depending on which directory is being viewed). Added Edit Button To Inactive Users Tab (22/3/2018)

Updated the Company and Project level Admin tool to add an Edit button to the Inactive Users tab. Please note that this tab is only visible and available to 'Admin' users only, so users who have been granted the 'Create and Edit Users (Assignable Permission Templates Only)' granular permission will NOT have access permission edit inactive users. See Edit a Person in the Project Directory.

New 'Contract Signer' Field in the Directory Tool for DocuSign (22/3/2018)

Updated the Company and Project level Directory tool to add a new Contract Signer drop-down list to the Create and Edit pages for company records. This new field appears in the General tab. When you select a person associated with the company from this drop-down field, the Procore + DocuSign integration will automatically populate with this person's name as a DocuSign signature recipient for contracts (i.e., the Commitments and Head Contract tools) and variations (i.e., Commitment Variation, Head Contract Variation and Head Contract Potential Variation). New Process for Downloading/Sending Directory Import Templates (2/3/2018)

Updated the Company and Project level tools so users with 'Admin' level permission to the tool can download and send completed import templates to Procore. We've added new 'Import People' and 'Import Companies' areas to the Directory tool's right sidebar. These areas contains links for downloading the appropriate templates and sending your completed templates back to Procore. New 'Request Company and People Imports' Granular Permission (2/3/2018)

Procore has released a new granular permission named 'Request Company and People Imports' to provide Procore Administrators (i.e., users with 'Admin' level permission to the Company Directory) with the capability to delegate the task of submitting requests for importing user and company/vendor data on your company or project account to another user with 'Standard' permission on the Project Directory. Updated 'Add Filter' in Companies Tab of Directory Tools To Reflect Cost Code Configuration (14/2/2018)

Updated the selections in the 'Add Filter' drop-down list for the Company and Project level Directory tools. Now, if the company account is using an ERP integration (e.g., Dexter + Chaney Spectrum, QuickBooks, Sage 300 CRE or Viewpoint Vista), the available selection in the list will show the appropriate cost code types that are available (e.g., Sage 300 CRE Cost Code, QuickBooks Cost Code and so on). If the ERP Integrations tool is NOT enabled, this selection reads 'Cost Code' or 'Company Name Cost Code.'

Added Sage 300 CRE Standard Cost Codes to Project Directory Tool's Add Filter Drop-Down List (07/2/2018)

Updated the Project Directory (Beta View) so that now, if your company has enabled the ERP Integrations tool, the Add Filter drop-down list in the Companies view shows 'Sage 300 Cost Codes' as a filter option. Prior to this update, the 'Cost Codes' filter showed the Sage 300 CRE Cost Codes, but it was not explicitly labelled.

Updated the Group by Company View to Show ERP IDs (8/2/2018)

Updated the 'Group by Company' view in the Company and Project Directory tools so it nows shows the ERP ID for the vendor (if the ERP Integrations tool is enabled and the vendor is synced with the integrated ERP system). 

Improved the 'Permission Template (Assigned)' Selections in Add Filter Menu (1/2/2018)

Updated both the Company and Project level Directory Tool (Beta View) to improve the Permission Template (Assigned) list in the Add Filter menu. Now, the checkbox options are sorted in alphabetical order, making permission templates easier to find.

Added a 'Permission Template (Assigned)' option to the Add Filter menu in the Users view on the Project Directory (Beta View). 

Added 'Cost Code' To Add Filter Menu In Project Directory (Beta View) (11/1/2018) 

Added a 'Cost Code' option to the Add Filter menu in the Companies view on the Project Directory (Beta View).

Consolidated Columns In the Users And Companies Views (4/1/2018)

Updated the Users and Companies views in the Project level Directory tool (Beta View) so that now, the Email, Phone and Fax information for a users is combined into a single column. Also updated the Address column so it now combines the Address, City, State/Territory and Postcode.  In addition, changed the list order to be from most requested record to last requested record. See (BETA) Customise the Column Display in the Directory Tool.

Changed The Default Setting For The 'Permission Template (Assigned)' Column (4/1/2017)

Updated the 'Users' view on the Project level Directory tools (Beta View) so that now, the 'Permission Template (Assigned)' column is hidden by default. To turn the column back ON, simply click the vertical ellipsis (⋮) at the top-right on the table and then mark the 'Permission Templates (Assigned)' check box.See (BETA) Customise the Column Display in the Directory Tool.

New Row Height Options In Project Directory Beta View (2/1/2018)

Updated the 'Users' view of the Project Directory (Beta View) tool to provide end users with the ability to customise the row height of the line items in the table. End users now click the vertical ellipsis on the upper right side of the table to view the 'Row Height' customization options on the bottom of the popup menu in the 'Users' view.
