Update the Tool Settings for Contracts


To update the advanced settings in the Contracts page of the Company Admin tool. 


The Contracts page provides your company's Procore Administrator with the ability to configure your company's account-wide preferences for the Commitments tool. When you update these preferences, your changes affect all projects in your company's Procore account. 

Things to Consider

  • Required User Permissions:
    • 'Admin' level permissions on the Company Admin tool. 
  • Additional Information:
    • Any changes affect all projects in your company's Procore account. 


  1. Navigate to the Company Admin tool. 
  2. Under Tool Settings, click Contracts.
  3. Click the Commitment Settings tab. 
  4. Optional: Choose one of these options for the Lock Schedule of Values and Contract Company when Commitment Contract is Approved or Completed checkbox:
    • ON. Mark the checkbox to prevent users from changing these values on a commitment when the commitment is in the 'Approved' or 'Complete' status:
      • The 'Contract Company'
      • Line items on the Schedule of Values 
    • OFF. Remove the checkmark to turn this option OFF. This is the default setting.
      When turned ON, this setting applies the rule to all commitments on all Procore projects. 
  5. Click Save.
