Create Note Entries

Objective

To create Notes entries in the project's Site Diary tool.

Background

The Notes section can be used to add additional information for the day. This is a good place to enter miscellaneous issues or items that don't necessarily fit in any of the other sections or tools provided. You can also mark notes as 'issues' and run dedicated reports on them.

    • Entries made by collaborators are marked as 'pending' until approved by an administrator.

Steps

  1. Navigate to the project's Site Diary tool.
  2. Scroll to the Notes section.
  3. Enter the following information:
    Tip! Certain fields in the Notes register can be configured as required, optional or hidden in the Company level Admin tool. See Create New Configurable Fieldsets.
    • Issue?: Mark this checkbox if the note being added is an issue affecting the project.

    • LocationSelect a location from the Location drop-down menu.
      Note: If the project allows for locations to be created from other tools, you can also create a new location to select. See How do I add a multi-tiered location to an item?

    • Comments: Enter any comments that may be needed to further describe the entry.

    • Attachments: Attach any additional files to the entry. Click Attach File(s) and then drag-and-drop a file from your computer to the Drag and Drop your File(s) area or click Upload Files to select a file from your computer. Once you save your item, users will be able to view the attachment in Procore's viewer or download the attachment. 

  4. Click Create.
